Keys to Embracing Aging is a peer-reviewed, multi-state, evidence-based educational program that introduces and reinforces 12 health and safety behaviors that should be practiced across the lifespan to influence optimal aging. The program has been successfully implemented by Cooperative Extension educators in a variety of settings. The program has shown to increase knowledge, attitudes, and positive health behaviors.

- Increases awareness and understanding of how healthy and safe lifestyle practices are linked to optimal aging.
- Increases healthy practices in the areas of:
- Positive attitude
- Eating smart and healthy
- Physical activity
- Brain activity
- Social activity
- Tuning into the times
- Know your health numbers
- Stress management
This program is flexible and can be delivered as a 1-time program (60 minutes) or a series.
